Business Strategy
As students, we've observed that a considerable amount of edible food is discarded daily in cafeterias, dormitories, and student apartments. This waste occurs due to various factors such as overbuying, improper storage, or simply forgetting about perishables.
Moreover, there's a lack of incentive for students to actively participate in reducing food waste. This not only contributes to environmental issues but also represents a missed opportunity for resource optimization and community building among students who could benefit from shared meals or ingredients.
Design Thinking 101
I created a user persona after talking to my friends from our university dorm. This process was very rapid, it took 3h~.

Here are the solutions proposed by me considering the user insights. This part took 4h~.

Results
We made Basket in 24h (7h~ design and ideation + 15h~ development) and presented the beta prototype to a 20-people jury without any sleep. We made it to the finals and received an award!
Future Directions
For future directions I thought:
Integrating the notifications to iMessage or any other preferred messaging tool
A token gift card option
And developing the mobile frames (we had to develop for desktop during the hackathon)
As a last note, we're currently in the mentorship process with BCG and applied for an equity-free investment for launch!
